Pelion Villages - Platanias
Platanias is the largest fishing village in Pelion and faces the Aegean at the foot of the Peninsula. There are a wide range of tavernas next to the quayside where you can eat the locally caught fish brought in each morning.
Platanias is home to some of the finest sandy beaches in Pelion. A short stroll from the village brings us to the main beach, a long stretch of sand, bordered by olive groves and a rocky headland. Follow the coastal path and you come to Mikro, a larger though quieter beach with crystal clear waters. There is one taverna on the beach a couple on the road leaving Mikro.
